Trump met with furious protests ahead of Turning Point event – ‘F*** Trump’ | World | News

An angry crowd of protesters gathered as Donald Trump prepared to speak at the US Turning Point event on Friday. Demonstrators lined up outside Dream City Church in Phoenix ahead of a “Build the Red Wall” rally hosted by the conservative organization Turning Point USA.
The event was to include President Trump, Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, and several Arizona Republican congressmen. Those in attendance include Abe Hamadeh, Eli Crane, Andy Biggs, Juan Ciscomani and Paul Gosar. However, footage and updates from the scene show protesters chanting slogans as rally attendees arrived at the venue. The official Frontlines TPUSA X account posted: HAPPENING NOW: “‘No King!’ “Fuck Trump!” “Protesters outside Dream City Church continue to chant and harass attendees ahead of the ‘Build the Red Wall’ event where President Trump will speak.”
Turning Point USA is a conservative political organization founded in 2012. The group focuses specifically on young voters and students on college and high school campuses across the United States.
He opposes progressive policies while campaigning in favor of conservative values such as lower taxes, free markets, gun rights and limited government.
Turning Point has become closely associated with the United States Donald Trump and many Republican politicians. It regularly hosts large rallies, conferences, and voter outreach campaigns, including events such as “Build the Red Wall.”
US President Trump was expected to give a speech in Phoenix at around 14:00 local time, that is, at 22:00 BST.
Attendees were admitted on a first-come, first-served basis but were asked to verify their voter registration status before being allowed into the venue.
The event is seen as part of a broader outreach campaign to Republican voters ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
While Trump supporters gathered for the rally, produce stalls were set up outside the church.
Frontlines TPUSA reported that protesters screamed and “jumped” President Trump’s motorcade as he entered Dream City Church. They were accused of “taunting” police officers and harassing a man wearing a MAGA hat.
Turning Point USA plans to strengthen support for Republican candidates in key battleground states like Arizona, New Hampshire and Nevada.
The strategy was outlined by Turning Point USA president and chief executive Erika Kirk during the organization’s AmericaFest conference in December in downtown Phoenix.
Erika Kirk said the group is currently focused on both the 2026 and 2028 election cycles and is heavily invested in individual states rather than just specific races.
