Trump says Iran ‘war is very complete,’ talks to Putin

President Donald Trump told a CBS News reporter on Monday that the war against Iran could end soon and spoke separately with Russian leader Vladimir Putin about the war, according to the Kremlin.

“I think the war is almost over,” Trump said, according to CBS senior White House correspondent Weijia Jiang.

“They don’t have a Navy, they don’t have communications, they don’t have an Air Force,” Trump said, according to Jiang, who shared his interview with the president on X.

US stock indexes rose after Jiang’s tweet.

Jiang said Trump was also “way ahead” of the United States’ initial estimate that the war could take four to five weeks to conclude.
