Trump sinks chip shot in viral golf video after claiming 38 golf championships

President Donald Trump this week touted his 38 golf club championships and showed on social media why that might be the case.
The 47th president was seen on the golf course with LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka, NHL legend Wayne Gretzky and Fox News’ Bret Baier, taking a short cut from the green where he lined up in a video posted on Truth Social.
As the caddy pulled the pin from the hole, Trump stepped into his chip after a few rehearsed putts, and although it did not leave the ground, the ball’s trajectory was correct.

“Once!” As Trump and the other players on the course watched the ball find its way to the bottom of the cup, a golfing friend of mine said:
Trump walked away smiling after the nifty chip, probably feeling good heading to the next hole.
“It’s always nice to win!” Trump made his own headline Real Social post.

Trump released the clip after once again interfering with former President Joe Biden’s golf match on Thanksgiving, where he spoke during a video call with US military members.
One of the petty officers who met with Trump at the White House asked the 47th president what his “real golf handicap” was.
“Are you and President Biden going to play that golf game?” the petty officer asked.

For context, Trump first took shots at Biden’s golf match during the presidential debate in Atlanta on June 27, 2024. A few weeks later, Trump challenged Biden to a golf match and said he would donate $1 million to charity if he lost.
Trump’s response to the sergeant was reassuring, saying he would “love” to confront Biden about the connections.
“So I invited him, but he doesn’t want to come,” Trump said.
Trump said, “There are a lot of people talking, but they can’t play like Biden. Biden can’t hit the ball 30 yards. I’m telling you, I looked at his swing. He can’t hit the ball 30 yards.” “He said he was a six-handicapper. That was the only thing that made me angry. When I was arguing with him, he said he was a six-handicapper. And I said, ‘You’re not a six.’ And he said, ‘I’m an eight-year-old.’ ‘It happened so fast,’ I said. “I bought two.” But it’s not 100 years old. It’s not 100 years old. But it’s a great game and I hope you’ll play some too.”
Trump added that he “knows a lot about golf” and has reviewed his career resume on the course.
“I’ve won 38 club championships and I don’t get to practice much. I won one last year. I won a club championship by beating a 27-year-old kid at a big club. You know, I said I’m decades older than you, but I said, ‘Fairway doesn’t know how old he is when he walks to the middle and he’s in a tough spot.’ I’ve been a good golfer over the years.”

Trump added that he had a “very low handicap,” although he did not give an exact figure.
“I think I’m very good or I should be better. I beat plus three. This is three better, three is below par. For those who don’t know, with all I went through last year in the club championship final and without any practice. So I’m a good golfer,” he said.
