President Donald Trump’s medical team has officially released a full statement regarding the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan he underwent in October.
The letter, sent by the President’s physician Sean P. Barbabella to Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, was obtained by The Daily Express US. “As part of President Donald J. Trump’s comprehensive administrative examination, advanced imaging was performed because men in his age group benefit from a comprehensive evaluation of their cardiovascular and abdominal health,” the letter said. it said.
“The purpose of this imaging is preventative: to detect problems early, confirm overall health, and ensure long-term maintenance of vitality and function,” he continued. “President Trump’s cardiovascular imaging is completely normal.”
Barbabella confirmed that “there was no evidence of arterial narrowing or abnormalities in the heart or large vessels that impair blood flow.”
He also noted that both of the president’s heart chambers were “normal sized.”
Additionally, Barbabella noted that “the vessel walls appeared smooth and healthy, and there were no signs of inflammation or clotting.”
He also said: “Overall, his cardiovascular system shows excellent health.
“Abdominal imaging is also completely normal. All major organs appear very healthy and well perfused,” Barbabella added. “Everything evaluated is functioning within normal limits with no acute or chronic problems.”
The statement said: “This level of detailed evaluation is standard for executive examination at President Trump’s age and confirms that he is in excellent general health.”
President Trump first underwent the procedure in October, just before embarking on a three-country tour of Asia this week. Trump remained tight-lipped about the reasons for the procedure during a brief call with reporters.
“It was perfect,” he informed reporters aboard Air Force One.
When asked why he had the surgery and whether the doctors were looking for anything specific, Trump joked.
“You can ask the doctors. We actually have doctors traveling with us,” Trump responded. He assured journalists that he would inform them if he thought the results would not be positive.
“If I didn’t think he was going to be okay, I would have either reported it negatively, I wouldn’t have run away, I would have done something, but the doctors said some of the best reports at that time, some of the best reports they had ever seen,” he said.
