TSHRC Resolved 1,500 Cases, Says Chairman

Nalgonda:Dr. Justice Shameem Akhter, President of the State Human Rights Commission (TSHRC), announced that the commission has solved 1,500 human rights case in the last two and a half months.

On Tuesday, the commission, who spoke to the media at the R&B guest house in Nalgonda, continued to receive both online and personally complaints about human rights violations.

Justice Akhter remembered that about 11,500 cases were waiting when he took office. Since then, the Commission has explored the reported violations and gave advice to the state government about the necessary actions. The Minister stressed that issues such as unpaid wages and other workers’ rights violations are under the jurisdiction of the commission.

The President also said that the Commission plans to evaluate hospitals and educational institutions to determine the deficiencies of service and facilities. “Suo Motu will do the action in cases according to violence and nature. The Indian Constitution guarantee rights related to education, health and equality and we are working to increase the human rights awareness of the people.”

In the early hours of the day, Justice Akhter controlled the Community Health Center in the Yadadri-Bhongir region Choutuppal and spoke to patients about the current medical services. He called for doctors and staff to protect the necessary drug stocks and provide quality care to the poor.
