Two injured, man arrested after double stabbing in McDonald’s car park
A man was fighting for his life after being stabbed in the car park of a fast food restaurant in Melbourne’s west, while another was seriously injured.
The two men were found with stab wounds outside Melton ambulance station at around 11.50pm on Wednesday, but police claimed they had been attacked beforehand in a McDonald’s car park a few kilometers away.
The crime scene is located in the McDonald’s car park on Barries Road in Melton West and outside the ambulance station on McKenzie Street.
A third man was arrested on suspicion of the stabbing.
Footage from the scene showed the parking lot still taped off on Thursday morning, forensic officers scouring the area for evidence and bloodstains on the side of the road.
A gloved officer was seen placing a dark-coloured machete handle into a brown paper bag.
The two injured men, both in their twenties, were treated at the Royal Melbourne Hospital for upper body injuries.
A 22-year-old Melton South man attended a police station overnight and remains in police custody.
“Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident,” police said in a statement.
