Two shot by ICE officers in ‘deeply troubling’ incident | US | News

Two people were shot by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents in Portland, hours after a woman from the same department was fatally shot in her car.
Portland police said officers were called to 102nd and Southeast Main Street around 2:20 p.m. local time and federal agents confirmed a shooting was involved, Komo News reported.
Portland City Council President Elana Pirtle-Guiney said that to her knowledge, two people are alive. They were taken to hospital but their condition is unknown.
Portland Mayor Keith Wilson said in a statement. “Just one day after horrific violence at the hands of federal agents in Minnesota, our community in Portland is now grappling with another deeply troubling incident.”
The Portland shooting came a day after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents fatally shot a woman in Minneapolis.
Renee Nicole Macklin Good, 37, was shot in the head in front of a relative. Federal officials said it was an act of self-defense.
