Two teenagers winched to safety after getting lost during bushwalk in Main Range National Park

Two teenagers who went missing during a camping trip in a national park in Queensland’s Southern Downs have been winched to safety.
The two boys, both 17, were going on a planned overnight bushwalking and camping trip in the Main Range National Park in Killarney, about 85km southwest of Brisbane.
An alarm was raised after they could not return home on Wednesday.
A major search was launched on Thursday, involving police, State Emergency Service personnel and a rescue helicopter.

The two boys were found in dense bush shortly after 7.10am on Saturday morning and taken to safety by crane.
“Both boys were evaluated by emergency services and cleared,” the police statement said.
