After piloting a limited number of Intercity Caravans in Delhi NCR, Uber has expanded its offering to Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune. The service allows drivers to book specially designed, camper-style motorhomes for out-of-town trips, blending luxury and comfort with long-distance road travel.
The expansion follows a pilot in Delhi, where a one-month trial during the monsoon travel season recorded full occupancy and strong demand from travelers looking for premium and exclusive travel options, Uber said in a statement. It was stated that the offer will continue in Delhi NCR until December 31, 2025, while reservations in the newly added cities will open on October 13 and journeys will start from October 15.
Shiva Shailendran, Consumer Growth Director, Uber India and South Asia, said: “The response to Intercity Caravans underscores the growing appetite for reliable and comfortable travel between cities. With the continued success of our campaign and expansion to more cities, we are further strengthening Intercity’s position as the preferred option for long-haul travel across India.”
