UK 3-day ‘mini-heatwave’ as temperatures soar to 21C – 9 hottest counties | Weather | News

Temperatures are forecast to rise to 21°C across much of southern England, while Britain will experience a three-day “mini heatwave” towards the end of this month. Brand new weather maps from forecaster WX Charts show temperatures soaring above 20C for three consecutive days; Some areas are expected to enjoy temperatures of 21C between Wednesday 20 May and Friday 22 May.
According to the latest WX Charts forecast, the warmest conditions are expected in the early evening; Much of southern England will experience unusually warm spring temperatures. Temperatures are expected to rise to 21 degrees in Kent, Surrey and parts of Greater London at around 18:00 on Wednesday 20 May.
Temperatures are expected to be 21C around 18:00 on Thursday, May 21; High temperatures of 21C are expected in parts of Kent, Greater London and Surrey. Areas in south-west Kent including Sittingbourne, Rainham, Gravesend and Dartford could benefit from the warmest temperatures of the day.
By Friday 22 May the warm weather is expected to spread further across southern England around 6pm; Temperatures of 21 degrees are expected in parts of Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex.
Separately, the Met Office’s long-term forecast for the period between 15 May and 24 May reads: “Variable and at times quite unstable conditions are likely to prevail through mid-May, often with low pressure nearby.
“This means periods of rain or showers, some of which may be heavy, for many places, although some interludes are also expected to be drier.
“Generally temperatures will be near normal or slightly below normal, winds will generally be from the northwest.
“At the end of this period, southwestward pressure may increase, bringing more dry weather here.”
