Cheruthana chundan wins Champakulam Moolam boat race

Cheruthana Puthan Chidan (Snakeboat) was rowing by the new Cheruthana Boat Club, and on Wednesday, Raja Pramukhan won the Raja Pramukhan trophy in the Moolam Boat race in the Pampa River in Champakulam in Kasttanad.

Champakulam Boat Club’s Champakulam Chidan ranked second, while Ayaparampu Valiya Divanji Chidan, who attracted a shovel by the Niranom Chidan Welfare Association, came third.

Five boats participated in the Snakeboat category. The competitions were held in the veppu ‘A’ and Veppu ‘B’ class categories. Many people appeared on the banks of the river to witness the first race of the 2025 boat race season in the state.
