UK weather maps turn red to reveal exact date of next 26C scorcher | Weather | News

UK weather maps show when and where the next scorching storm will hit. The forecast temperature of 26 degrees will bring a new period of warm weather to the UK and will fall just in time for June. Forecasts shared by WXCharts show that it will be warmer than normal in parts of the UK in mid-June.
Forecasters at the Met Office say the UK will see top temperatures of 26C from Thursday 11 June until Saturday 13 June. This rise comes just a week after temperatures in the UK were recorded in the low to mid 30s. The Bank Holiday weekend was a hot one and Brits are bracing for warmer weather next month.
A long-range forecast from the Met Office has encouraged Brits to expect dry climates, storms and hot weather in the south. Its forecast for June 5 to June 14 reads: “This may be modified early in the period as Atlantic frontal systems move across the UK. These will bring occasional showers or longer-lasting rain, with the wettest conditions in the north-west and the driest in the south-east.”
“Strong winds may affect parts of the UK at times, particularly the north-west. Later in the period, higher pressure and drier weather may begin to become more common, particularly in the south. Temperatures are likely to be close to normal overall.”
Another forecast for June 15 to June 29 adds: “Thin and dry in many areas at first, with high pressure prevailing across the UK. “Winds will be mostly light and temperatures are likely to be above normal.
“Then low pressure will likely start to have more impact, especially in the south where heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely. It may also be hot in parts of the south.”
London will feel the heat on June 13, with a predicted 26C reaching the capital, according to WXCharts. The area around London will see high temperatures between 22 and 25 degrees.
The Met Office also revealed which parts of England should brace for showers on Monday, just a week after record-breaking heat.
According to Met Office maps, while heavy rains are effective in most of the country, rain is expected in 42 districts tomorrow. Some of the lucky areas to escape the wet weather include County Durham, Kent and Northumberland.
