A man who made headlines today dies after being murdered Bitten by a suspicious 4.5 meter shark The man who died off the coast of Albany on Saturday has been identified as Daniel Turpin, a husband with “deep respect for the ocean.”

Turpin’s family released a statement about the 35-year-old’s death, calling him “a much-loved husband, son, brother and uncle.”

“Our family is devastated by this tragic loss and we are still trying to come to terms with what happened. Daniel brought great joy to the lives of those who knew and loved him and we will miss him greatly,” the family wrote.
