Union Minister directs officials to monitor water supply, prevent diseases in Guntur

The Union Minister Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, Minister of State of Rural Development and Communication, directed the authorities to accelerate the monitoring of the drinking water source and to implement strict preventive measures to prevent seasonal diseases on Gundur Municipality Company (GMC).

Regional collector A. Thameem Ansariya, the joint collector Ashutosh Srivastava and GMC commissioner Puli Srinivasulu attended a compilation meeting, the Minister praised the officials for their rapid reactions to the latest diarrhea epidemics. This stressed that it is very important to closely implement the norms of early preventive action, continuous water quality monitoring and food safety norms to prevent the spread of such diseases.

Mrs. Ansariya, the appointment of private officers in high -risk regions, providing safe drinking water through tankers, 21 non -standard special roof plants, and the control of food outputs and street vendors summarized the measures. Patients received timely treatment in Gundur State Hospital and Urban Health Centers and most of them healed.

Mr. Srinivasulu, reservoir cleaning, pipeline repairs, awareness campaigns and the distribution of health kits in the affected regions, he added. The minister called on the authorities to give priority to preventive measures according to the reactive ones, guaranteeing that coordinated efforts will help to keep the city safe. Health, municipalities and allied departments officials attended the meeting.
