US kills 3 alleged narco-terrorists in third Eastern Pacific strike: SOUTHCOM

The US military carried out its third strike against suspected narco-terrorist targets in the Eastern Pacific in as many days, killing three people aboard an alleged drug-smuggling ship in a deadly operation, according to US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM).
The deadly kinetic attack targeted a ship operated by what SOUTHCOM calls a Designated Terrorist Organization, but additional details were not immediately provided about the identities of those killed or the specific groups involved.
“Intelligence confirmed that the ship was transiting known drug smuggling routes in the Eastern Pacific and engaged in a drug smuggling operation,” SOUTHCOM said in a statement to X. he said.
“Three male narco-terrorists were killed during this action,” the command said.

It was stated that no US military forces were harmed during the operation.
The latest attack comes after SOUTHCOM said the US military carried out similar strikes in the Eastern Pacific earlier this week.

Two men believed to be involved in drug trafficking were killed in an attack on Monday, while four alleged narco-terrorists were killed in another attack on Tuesday, the command said earlier.

The US military has launched dozens of attacks on ships suspected of drug smuggling in recent months as part of a broader campaign to dismantle cartel-linked smuggling operations.
