US-led Gaza peace deal with Israel ‘could work’

30 September 2025 07:39 | News

A former Israeli ambassador warned, the US proposal to end the war in Gaza is connected to Hamas, the identified terrorist group, who signed the order of extinction.

The White House immediately issued a 20 -point peace plan, including the ceasefire, the release of hostages and prisoners on both sides and the end of the Israeli military campaign in Gaza.

It also includes the conditions previously rejected by both sides and depends on the agreement of Hamas.

Australia’s former Ambassador to Israel and now Liberal Senator Dave Sharma says that it would be a challenge to enable Hamas to accept a peace agreement.

Nevertheless, an agreement does not need to be made.

Senator Sharma told Nine’s Today Show on Tuesday, “Hamas is asked to sign his own destruction here,” he said.

“But the leaders are offered to amnesty and a safe transition from it – exile if you want.

“They have lost most of their senior military leadership, so some of them can be an attractive offer.”

However, Senator Sharma said that there may be other adhesive points for Hamas, which Australia listed as a terrorist organization.

Hamas previously demanded that Israel be withdrawn from Gaza before releasing hostages.

If it was abolished, the US -led peace plan would establish a temporary Palestinian administrative body supervised by a “peace board üzerine chaired by President Donald Trump

“This is a big, big day, a beautiful day,” he said to the journalists in Washington together with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Mr. Netanyahu said that the US plan has achieved the war targets of the country.

Orum I support your plan to end the war in Gaza, Tr Trump said to Trump that he described him as “Israel’s biggest friend” in the White House.

If Hamas does not accept, Mr. Trump said he would have the full support of Israel that Israel “Hamas threat to finish his job”.

“But I feel that we will have a positive answer,” he said at a press conference on television.

The plan also includes measures to encourage Palestinians to stay in the region and an increase in aid delivery to Gaza.
