EMotorad Enters Guinness World Records for Delivering Largest Electric Bicycles in Kuppam

Hyderabad: EV Major EMorad delivered the largest number of electric bikes in a 24-hour period, earning them the title of Guinness World Record Holder.

Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh is a model constituency and one of the fastest developing cities in the country, advancing rapidly in infrastructure, industry and e-mobility initiatives. The rising cost of electric vehicles and the unreliability of decent EV service is leaving the “Bharat” layer of India’s population in the stone age. This is where the initiative of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu comes into play.

EMorad has provided power to more than 10,000 families in Kuppam and Chittoor districts through this initiative. These included people engaged in daily economic activities, including small traders, MSME operators, shop owners, cattle owners, milk sellers and other commuter workers. For many beneficiaries, this was the first personal vehicle that offered both financial relief and greater independence.

“This is an exemplary example of a high-impact, high-currency, high-velocity public-private partnership,” said Kunal Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of EMorad.

The record was attempted for 24 hours straight, where beneficiaries queued up until 4am to get their long-awaited electricity cycles. All electric cycles used for recording were assembled by the EMorad team 72 hours before the trial, with the participation of more than 1000 team members in total.

Commenting on the achievement, Guinness World Records Senior Adjudicator Swapnil Dangrikar said, “This was a record attempt for the largest electric bike delivery. This record has never been achieved before. So this has created a new category. Congratulations to the eMorad team, you are simply amazing.”

“This is of course just the beginning. We have at least 20 other EOI discussions aligned with other Nodal Authorities and Collectors across India who see the value and impact of our product. Our target is to increase this number to 100,000 cycles by November 2026,” Gupta added.
