Uttarakhand: Char Dham Yatra suspended for two days

Dehradun: Char Dham Yatra was suspended for two days on Tuesday due to heavy rain warning and landslides blocking pilgrimage routes, an official said.

Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swaroop said that the Char Dham Yatra was suspended on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the safety of pilgrims.

He said that the yatra routes were blocked at various places due to landslides and a heavy rain warning was also issued by the meteorological department.

The official said that the pilgrimage will continue as weather conditions improve and routes become safe.
