Uttarakhand paper-leak case: CBI arrests assistant professor

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday, November 28, 2025, arrested an assistant professor in the Uttarakhand Graduate Level Examination paper leak case.
The accused has been identified as Suman, Assistant Professor at Shaheed Srimati Hansa Dhanai Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya, Agrora (Dhar mandal), Tehri Garhwal. The agency had earlier detained two other accused Mohammed Khalid and his sister Sahiba for questioning.
“It may be recalled that the CBI took over the case upon transfer by the Government of Uttarakhand. The CBI took the accused private and his sister into police custody and conducted a detailed investigation. After detailed examination of the accused and his sister and evaluation of mobile phones and other evidence, the role of the Assistant Professor was brought on record,” the agency said.
According to the agency, the assistant professor helped the defendant private individual solve a part of the question paper he received through his sister during the exam and sent the solution to him.
