Police officer dies after shooting near US’s CDC headquarters
A police officer died of ongoing injuries while responding to a fire outside the headquarters of the US Disease Control and Prevention Centers near Emory University.

Police said they found that the shooter was “shot with a gunshot” on the second floor of a CVS pharmacy by the intersection, but it could not determine whether it was from law enforcement officers or landing.
According to CBS News, a shelter was removed about an hour and a half after the shooting was reported.
Since then, the Police Department said there was no “an ongoing threat” to the campus or the surrounding neighborhood.
Media organizations reported that CDC employees were requested to work on Monday.
