Trump says building a ‘New York Stock Exchange’ in Dallas is bad thing for New York

Jan 18 (Reuters) – Building a “New York Stock Exchange” in Dallas is an “incredibly” bad thing for New York, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday.
“I can’t believe they let this happen. Huge test for the new Mayor!” he said in a post on Truth Social.
Intercontinental Exchange, which owns the NYSE, announced last year that it would add Texas as a location for a secondary listing.
NYSE Texas, which officially launched in early 2025, saw 10 companies dual-list on the Dallas-based exchange in its first three months, including oilfield services company Halliburton and Truth Social-parent Trump Media & Technology Group.
Intercontinental Exchange and the New York mayor’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
