Vijayendra Alleges Misuse Of Officials In SIR Exercise, Demands Fair Electoral Roll Revision

Bidar: BY Vijayendra, state BJP president, alleged that the state government, which had earlier opposed Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls, is now misusing officials and putting pressure on them to include illegal immigrants in the voter list.

Addressing journalists, he claimed that efforts were being made to issue Permanent Residence Certificates (PRC) to illegal immigrants.

“Giving PRC to illegal immigrants amounts to an anti-national act. The government is doing this to prevent fair and transparent review of electoral rolls. BJP is creating awareness among the public on this issue,” he alleged.

He said that the BJP took the SIR work in Bidar seriously and the party organization was working in a coordinated manner.
