‘Violent abuser’ who made victim ‘bark like dog’ hides in fridge | News

A “violent abuser” from Rochester who locked his victim in a room and only let him out after barking like a dog tried to evade justice by hiding in a fridge.

Dean Foord, 33, of Brooker Close, Rochester, was arrested after his victim reported 6 months of mental and physical abuse.

He checked her social media accounts, cut off contact with friends and family, and only allowed her to leave the house when she gave him permission.

On one occasion, Foord dragged him by the neck, pushed him to the ground, and slammed his head on the ground.

Following a trial, Foord was found guilty of causing actual bodily harm, criminal damage, threats to kill, common assault, controlling and coercive behavior and possession of class A drugs. He was sentenced to three years in prison on Tuesday, June 30.
