The media acts as a mediator between the public and their favorite celebrities. However, many times a few photographers, namely the paparazzi, go out of line just to capture the moment or the stars at their most vulnerable. Pankaj Dheer’s death has left a void in the industry. While the entire industry was mourning the loss of BR Chopra’s Karna from Mahabharat, Jackie Shroff was upset with the media’s coverage.

A prayer meeting was organized by Dheer’s family at Juhu’s Iskon temple on Friday and was attended by many members from the film fraternity. Abhishek Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty, Poonam Dhillon, Mukesh Khanna, Rohit Shetty, Sharad Saxena, Suresh Oberoi, Esha Deol, Zayed Khan, Tanvi Azmi, Mohit Raina, Aditya Pancholi, Mukesh Rishi, Puneet Issar, Ashok Pandit and Mukesh Khanna. Also, Johnny Lever, Ramesh Taurani, Ranjeet, Rajat Bedi, Sheeba and her husband Akashdeep were among the celebrities who stood in solidarity with her son Nikitan Dheer and daughter-in-law Kratiga Senger.

However, one of the most talked about moments of the meet was when Jackie Shroff confronted a paparazzi. While leaving Iskon, Jaggu was followed by cameramen and he did not like how they were laughing and giggling with each other in such a place. He stopped for a while, spoke to one of the cameramen and said: “Inka bura samay chal raha hai na? Tere ghar mein, mera ghar mein hua toh… samaj gaya na.” Jackie asked pastors to follow etiquette and not cross the line to get footage.
