Virat Kohli Rises to No. 2 in ICC ODI Rankings, Rohit Sharma Retains Top Spot

India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli rose to second place in the latest ICC ODI rankings on Wednesday, just behind teammate Rohit Sharma.
Kohli’s recent stellar performance in the India-South Africa ODI series helped him move up two places. He amassed 302 runs in the three-match series and was named Player of the Series. He is currently just eight rating points behind Rohit.
Former India captain Rohit Sharma, who scored 146 runs in the series, managed to retain his place at the top of the ODI rankings.
The next time Rohit and Kohli will play in this format will be in the home series against New Zealand, where India is set to play three ODIs starting January 11.
India’s KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav also made significant gains in the ODI rankings. Rahul has moved up two places to 12th, while Kuldeep has moved up to third among bowlers.
