Watch: Keir Starmer’s last speech as prime minister in full

Sir Keir Starmer made his final speech as prime minister on Monday, as Andy Burnham was appointed to the country’s most important job.

In front of the applauding crowd, Starmer said “I’m done” and wished Burnham well.

After repeated assurances that he would remain in office, Starmer announced he would resign on June 22, four days after Burnham won the Westminster seat.

He follows Andy Burnham, Keir Starmer, Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss.
