What the King and Queen did on their second day in the US

King Charles III and Queen Camilla continued their state visit in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, meeting with members of President Trump’s cabinet before addressing both houses of the US Congress to celebrate the 250th anniversary of King America.
They ended the day with a state dinner at the White House. Trump praised the UK for ‘the richest legacy that one nation can give to another’ and Charles presented the president with a bell from the World War II submarine ‘HMS Trump’.
This is Queen Elizabeth II. It is the monarch’s first such visit to the United States since Elizabeth met with President George W. Bush in 2007.
The King and Queen will travel to New York tomorrow to attend a memorial service for the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
