Keira Knightley’s husband of 13 years was photographed without his wedding ring, weeks after it was revealed the actress had removed her married name from official documents.
James Righton, former vocalist of pop band Klaxons, was spotted without the gold band that has adorned his ring finger since the couple’s wedding in the South of France in 2013.
Wearing a colorful tartan jacket and a baseball cap with the words ‘I don’t work here’, dour James, 42, cycled through north London before stopping for a lively chat with a friend.
The couple, who have two daughters, ten-year-old Edie and six-year-old Delilah, were last photographed together at London Fashion Week in February 2026.

The changes relate to performing arts company KCK Boo Ltd, which had assets of more than £11 million at the time of its last accounts.
Keira admitted that changing her surname for official purposes in 2021, eight years after her wedding, required a lot of soul-searching.
He talked about taking his wife’s name in 2014, saying: ‘I went to do the passport thing because I thought, ‘Should I do it?’ I thought it would be useful.
‘But you actually have to see it in writing, and I realized I couldn’t do that. I couldn’t go there. Yet.’
Keira exchanged wedding vows with James in France in 2013.
In December, the actress announced she was selling her beloved French vineyard, where she married James, and admitted it was “difficult” to maintain her passion projects.
The couple owned Les Cinq Puits (French for ‘five wells’, a name taken from the five natural springs in the vineyard from which the wine was made) near the slopes of Mont Ventoux in the Rhone Valley, where they delved into the traditions of small-scale winemaking.
Property had a very special place in his heart; because she and James got married in 2013, two years after they first met at a mutual friend’s dinner party in London.

Speaking to hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett on Waitrose podcast Dish, she recalled James enlisting his friend’s help to get him to try new foods.
Keira said: ‘He couldn’t cook, all he ate was cheese on toast. I was like, “This isn’t going to work.”
‘He didn’t even go out to dinner. He didn’t understand going to restaurants. ‘He was a strange person.’
Keira told how she got him to try new foods with his eyes closed as he ‘trained’ her.
He continued: ‘My oldest friend is a real old-school junkie, we basically trained her.
We took him to restaurants but he didn’t try anything. He was like a child. He’d close his eyes and we’d say, “Try it, try it!” we would say.’
‘Okay, good, good!’ ” he said.
The couple’s representatives have been contacted by the Daily Mail for comment.
