Who is Chirayu Rana? Man behind sexual abuse allegations against JPMorgan’s Lorna Hajdini—what new reports reveal

The former JPMorgan Chase employee who filed a lawsuit against top executive Lorna Hajdini has now been identified as Chirayu Rana, according to a report by The New York Post.

The complaint, initially submitted anonymously under the pseudonym “John Doe,” included allegations of sexual harassment, racial harassment and workplace intimidation. But recent reports, citing multiple sources, have indicated that an internal investigation conducted by JPMorgan found no evidence to corroborate these claims.

What were the main accusations against Haccdini?

Rana, under the pseudonym John Doe, said in the lawsuit that the 37-year-old chief executive turned her into a “sex slave” by drugging her with Rohypnol and Viagra and threatening to withhold her bonus if she did not comply.

It was also alleged that an executive from JPMorgan’s leveraged finance team came to Rana’s apartment unannounced and forced her to have sex.

The Daily Mail first reported the story on Wednesday evening, citing explicit details in a court filing that has since been withdrawn for “corrections.”

What did Lorna Hajdini say?

Hajdini’s lawyers said in a statement to the Post: “Lorna categorically denies the allegations. She never engaged in any inappropriate behavior with this person and did not even go to the location where the alleged sexual assault occurred.”

JPMorgan vehemently denied all allegations and refused to identify Doe. “After an investigation, we do not believe there is any merit to these allegations,” the spokesperson said, as reported by the Post. “While multiple employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and refused to present facts that would be central to supporting her allegations.”
