Will Still: Southampton sack manager after five months in charge

Saints, who were relegated from the top tier last season, had two championship wins, six draws and five defeats this season.
These two wins came at home to Wrexham on the opening day of the season and away to Sheffield United on the last day of September.
After defeating Northampton Town and Norwich City in the EFL Cup, they lost 2-1 to Liverpool and were eliminated from the tournament.
Still’s sacking follows a run of five games without a win, consisting of two draws and three defeats.
He told BBC Radio Solent after Saturday’s defeat that an “instant fix” was not possible for the side after another defeat.
“If I could find an instant solution I would have found it about a month or two ago.
“I don’t think there’s going to be an immediate solution to be honest with you, and whoever it is, there’s a big job here and I knew there was a big job coming here.
“I said a few weeks ago that there are a lot of things that need to change that haven’t changed yet because we haven’t had the time to do it, but it looks like there’s still a lot of work to be done.”
