William and Catherine release annual Christmas card portrait

The Prince and Princess of Wales have released a new family portrait that appears in the couple’s 2025 Christmas card.

In the photo, William and Catherine sit on lush green grass surrounded by spring daffodils with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The post shared by the couple on social media included the following statements: “I wish everyone a Merry Christmas.”

The family photo was taken by photographer Josh Shinner in Norfolk in April.

The photos appear to be identical to those taken for George’s 12th and Louis’ seventh birthdays.

Last year the couple created a Christmas card with personal significance, using a photo taken from the video released when Catherine announced the end of her chemotherapy.

William and Catherine are spending the festive season together and are expected to join the King and the rest of the royal family at Sandringham in Norfolk on Christmas Day.

Earlier this month, King Charles and Queen Camilla released their own Christmas card showing them being whisked away in Rome.

In the photo, taken during their official visit to Italy in April, the smiling couple stand side by side in a garden path.
