Woman dies after skydiving incident near UK city airfield | UK | News

A young woman died today after a parachute jump in England. Police confirmed the 22-year-old woman was found in an area near Nottingham’s Langar Airport and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident took place on Sunday, July 5, at around 12.13 in the afternoon. Nottingham Police added that the woman’s family had been informed and would be supported by specially trained officers. No one else was injured and a file will now be prepared for the coroner.
Detective Inspector Rachel Mayfield, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a tragic incident and we are working with our partners to understand what happened.
“As our investigations at the scene continue, our thoughts are with the woman’s family and everyone affected.”
