Woman ‘grabbed and dragged to floor’ near kids play area as police hunt masked man | UK | News

Police issued an emergency appeal following reports that a woman was “grabbed and dragged to the ground” in broad daylight.

Cleveland Police are appealing for the public’s help following the incident, which occurred while the victim was walking near Hardwick Pond behind Hardwick playground in Stockton at 1.30pm on Monday, April 20.

A Cleveland Police spokesman said: “The woman managed to escape and thankfully suffered no serious injuries, but was understandably shaken by the incident.”

Police also said that “the man was described as being of medium build, wearing an all-black tracksuit and face mask, and riding a black pedal bike.”

Police “want to speak to a woman in particular who has light-coloured hair and is wearing light blue clothing”.

“There were a number of dog walkers and people in the park who came to help the woman at the time and officers would like to speak to anyone who was there at the time,” the spokesman added.
