World Cup fans sweat through US ‘heat dome’

As a “heat dome” spreads along the US east coast, fans are gathering with record fervor to cheer on their teams in the middle of the World Cup.
Temperatures soared to 38C in parts of the north-east and FIFA introduced hydration breaks during the match for players to cool down.
BBC correspondent Nada Tawfik met with the fans who supported their teams by enduring the heat wave, without air conditioning, at the New York New Jersey Stadium, where the finals will be held.
