Yamaha FZ Blue Flex Fuel Launch: Price, engine, features and everything you need to know

Here’s everything you need to know about Yamaha’s newest flex-fuel motorcycle.
Yamaha FZ Blue Flex Fuel price in India
Yamaha FZ Blue Flex Fuel has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 1,24,240 (ex-showroom).
The motorcycle will be available at select Blue Square dealers in the following regions:
- delhi
- uttar pradesh
- maharashtra
- karnataka
- Telangana
- tamil nadu
Yamaha FZ Blue Flex Fuel engine and performance
Powering the new motorcycle is a 149cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that has been specifically updated to support ethanol blended fuels from E20 to E85.
The engine produces:
- 11.3 hp power
- 12.8 Nm peak torque
It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. According to Yamaha, the engine is designed to provide consistent daily performance when running on different ethanol fuel blends.

The FZ Blue Flex Fuel retains the familiar styling of Yamaha’s FZ series while incorporating the company’s latest design elements.

The motorcycle is offered in Metallic Black color option.
Yamaha FZ Blue Flex Fuel specifications
The feature list is largely similar to the standard FZ motorcycle.

- Single channel ABS
- Telescopic front forks
- Rear monoshock absorber suspension
However, the motorcycle does not have premium connected features such as Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation or traction control.
What is a flex-fuel motorcycle?
A flex-fuel motorcycle is designed to run on gasoline mixed with varying proportions of ethanol. Yamaha FZ Blue Flex supports fuel blends from E20 (20% ethanol) to E85 (85% ethanol).
Ethanol is considered a cleaner alternative fuel that can help reduce dependence on traditional fossil fuels and reduce vehicle emissions.
