‘You come out or we come in.’ Masked trio threatens homeowners in horrifying video

Virginia police are investigating an apparent break-in attempt after video showed three men dressed in scary costumes terrorizing a frightened family.

Alexandria Police Department Public Information Officer Rebekka Heite said the agency is searching for three suspects in connection with the grisly case captured in viral footage circulating online.

Heite said that as of Friday, October 17, no arrests had been made regarding the incident, which was reported at around 21:50 local time on October 14.

At a press conference after the incident, Alexandria Police Chief Tarrick McGuire told reporters that police believed the trio was trying to break into the home.

“I want to be very clear, this is a very serious matter,” McGuire said.

“They started acting like they were joking,” the police chief said. “The alleged joke then turned serious when he started making threatening and alarming statements to the family. According to our laws and laws across the country, people in their homes can defend themselves.”

Creepy doorbell video shows the trio dressed in Halloween costumes shouting threats outside the home.

Shayla Whiteside, who lives in the home, told Storyful she thought it was a joke at first.

But things changed quickly.

“They tried to force the front door open, shook the handles, broke my backyard fence, and ripped out the back window making threats saying they were going to kill us and come back,” he said. he told Storyful.

Whiteside told Storyful that the trio who attempted the burglary appeared to be strangers.

‘Either you leave or we enter’

In the footage, it can be seen that the scary incident started when one of the masked people rang the front doorbell.

The video shows the trio standing ominously in the front yard, then taking turns ringing the doorbell, knocking on the door and at one point shaking the doorknob.

“Either you come out or we go in,” one of the masked men says in the video, as the trio continues to demand the family open the door.

When someone in the video asks who he is, one person replies, “Your worst nightmare.”

Another masked suspect then says, “I see you… open the door.”

Eventually, the video shows the thieves walking away. “We’ll be back,” someone is heard saying.

No one was injured in the incident.
