Police now also allege he’s responsible for an armed robbery at a gas station in Stoney Creek on March 4 and a robbery at a cannabis store on the Hamilton Mountain on May 5.
Cops say “Murphy is no longer abiding by his release conditions after fleeing from his surety’s residence.”
Police noted that a firearm used during one of the robberies has not been recovered.
Murphy is believed to be in the Hamilton area, but police advise not to approach him and to call 911 immediately if spotted.
He is described as white with a heavy build and numerous tattoos which include a “rose” on his left hand and “cross” on right hand, as well as “Smile Now, Cry Later” with skulls and clown faces on his right forearm and “MCMLV-MMXXI” on his left forearm.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det.-Const. Mike Suffoletta at 905-546-8936, Det. Staff-Sgt. David Brewster at 905-546-2991 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
