Yung Filly details the ‘love bites’ he performed during sex with woman in an Australian hotel room – as he denies rape allegations in court and explains why alleged victim’s phone was taken

A British YouTuber and musician accused of violently raping a fan after a concert never asked his alleged victim if she wanted sex, a court has heard.

Rapper Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has pleaded not guilty to six counts of sexual intercourse without consent on a 20-year-old woman in a Perth hotel room in September 2024.

The 30-year-old denies all three assaults causing bodily harm, including putting pressure on her neck and preventing her from breathing.

His hearing on Monday heard that the artist met the woman at a nightclub called Bar1 after his performance.

“I was standing in the VIP (area) and he was standing in the general area and he leaned over a barrier and said something to me,” Barrientos told the District Court of Western Australia.

‘I liked him and we chatted.

‘The vibes were good and it had a really good energy.’

He said he and his entourage then set off in a minibus and drove to the Intercontinental Hotel in Perth’s CBD, where the couple had consensual sex.

‘The sex was great,’ he said from the witness box.

Asked by his lawyer to identify his gender, the rapper said, “He grunts and moans in a good way.”

He denied choking and slapping the woman as alleged in court.

However, he admitted to biting her multiple times.

‘In England we called it a love bite,’ he said.

‘My mouth is on her skin; It involves sucking (and) my teeth were also affected to some extent.’

The jury was shown footage of the injuries the woman allegedly suffered following her night with Barrientos.

These include photographs of deep bruising and bite marks on the woman’s face and neck.

Under cross-examination by prosecutor Danielle Clarke, Barrientos said he was not surprised that the woman returned to her hotel.

‘I can tell you like me,’ he said.

He admitted that he did not mention having sex when he asked her to go with him, but that he believed they would do so.

He said that he first held the woman’s hand as she was leaving the nightclub around 3.30 in the morning, but let go.

‘I knew right away that I didn’t want to be seen on social media,’ he said.

The woman had previously told the court that Barrientos put his hands down her trousers and touched her breast while they were at the club.

However, the rapper denied these actions.

‘It didn’t happen,’ he said.

‘I remember putting my hand on her waist.’

The protester also denied giving the woman a tequila shot, contradicting the alleged victim’s statement.

He said these were handed out by the bar manager.

CCTV footage of the couple leaving the venue in Perth’s northern suburbs was shown to the court.

Barrientos and the others were seen getting into a white van and the woman followed shortly after.

He stopped at the door of the van before entering.

“All I remember is me leaving in front of him… and before I knew it, he was in the vehicle,” Barrientos said during questioning from his lawyer.

The rapper did not remember whether the two chatted on the way to the hotel.

Hotel security cameras showed him striding in front of his surroundings and the woman after getting off the minibus.

The group was then seen getting into an elevator.

‘The vibrations were good; We went through the doorman and got into the elevator… and I went into my room with (the woman),” Barrientos said.

The rapper admitted that the woman’s phone was taken from him as he claimed.

‘It is standard practice to protect the privacy of someone in the spotlight,’ he said.

The trial continues.
