The Pittsburgh Steelers cruised to their second straight victory on Monday night.
Aaron Rodgers finished the night with just four incomplete passes in the 28-15 victory, which also mathematically eliminated the Miami Dolphins from playoff contention.
The game also marked a reunion of sorts for Rodgers.
Zach Wilson, the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, spent a season behind Rodgers on the New York Jets’ depth chart. Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos in 2024 and agreed to a one-year deal with the Dolphins in the offseason.

Wilson and Rodgers reconnected shortly after Monday night’s game. At the time, Wilson offered his best wishes to the Super Bowl winner on his recent marriage to an as-yet-unknown bride.
“Congratulations on getting married,” Wilson said to Rodgers at the Steelers’ home stadium. Back in June, Rodgers revealed that he had been married for “a few months.”

In the time since the shocking announcement, Rodgers’ wife has not been in the public spotlight. Before this year’s union came to light, Rodgers was engaged to actress Shailene Woodley.

Wilson’s tenure as the Jets’ backup quarterback in 2023 was short-lived. Rodgers suffered the season-ending injury in the fourth game of his first regular season with the Jets. Wilson returned to the starting role he held during his first two tumultuous seasons with the team.
Wilson started 12 games in 2023 and the Jets finished that season with a 7-10 record.

The Cincinnati Bengals will try to end their two-game losing streak by visiting the Dolphins on Sunday. Cincinnati is expected to start with rookie Quinn Ewers, not Wilson, after the Dolphins benched veteran quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on Wednesday.
