Ukraine has turned to a new arsenal of advanced technology to continue its ongoing conflict with Russia, as robots, drones and remote-controlled tanks provide the embattled nation with significant support on the battlefield.
Facing months of growing manpower shortages and hesitancy in support from the United States, Ukraine is increasingly relying on technology as its greatest asset in the fight against Russian forces.
In April, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the first-ever capture of Russian positions achieved entirely by robots and drones; A military unit, during interrogation of prisoners, revealed that enemy troops called these machines “silent death.”
The Ukrainian leader announced that unmanned vehicles have been responsible for carrying out 22,000 missions since January.

CNN reported that the NC13 unit of the Ukrainian Third Assault Brigade calculated that it would need 2,300 troops to achieve the effectiveness of robotic attackers in 164 assault missions.
Under conventional circumstances, they would expect to lose roughly half their units killed or wounded; This means that the unmanned machine is not only helping the war effort, it is literally saving lives.
Bar, the unit’s deputy commander, told CNN: “I couldn’t even imagine something like this at the time. But I realized that if such equipment had been available at that time… more of my comrades would have survived.”

The country’s current goal is to kill or injure 35,000 Russians per month, and they managed to reach that goal this year.
An assessment released on Wednesday by the UK intelligence agency GCHQ put Russian deaths at 500,000, based on new intelligence.
The figures were revealed by GCHQ director Anne Keast-Butler, who warned that the world was at a “moment of consequence” where Russia was “relentlessly targeting” vital infrastructure.
