100 crude bombs recovered from house of ‘TMC worker’ in Bengal’s Bhangar

He said that the explosives were seized during a search of Rafikul Islam’s house following certain information.
“A stern message has been issued to the Kolkata Police Commissioner, all DCPs, SPs and officers up to OC and IC rank that if any such explosive is found or threatening tactics are used by any person within their jurisdiction, the officer concerned will take action,” an Election Commission official told PTI.
He added that surveillance and area dominance will be concentrated in sensitive areas to ensure voters can exercise their rights without fear.
The first phase of the 294-member West Bengal assembly elections will be held on April 23 and the second phase will be held on April 29. Votes will be counted on May 4.
Bhangar will vote in the second phase.
