15-year-old boy flown to hospital after e-bike and car collide
A 15-year-old boy was taken by ambulance helicopter to Randwick Children’s Hospital after his e-bike crashed into a car in Sydney’s northern suburbs.
Paramedics were called to Abbott Road in North Curl Curl at around 4.45pm on Monday following reports of the incident.
Crews arrived in a NSW Ambulance rescue helicopter and found the child to be in a serious but stable condition. The person injured in his lower leg was treated.
The young man was taken to the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Eyewitnesses told Channel Nine the car swerved towards the driver in a possible road rage incident, but police have not confirmed the cause of the collision.
Police said the crime scene has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
The driver of the car escaped uninjured.
