70 firefighters battle huge blaze at London flat as ‘whole roof alight’ | UK | News

10 fire trucks and 70 firefighters were deployed to fight the fire that broke out in London in the early hours of Saturday morning.

As the fire broke out on Lenham Road, London Fire Brigade made a statement confirming the magnitude of the incident.

The brigade said: “Ten fire engines and approximately 70 firefighters were called to a flat fire on Lenham Road in Thornton Heath.

Parts of the ground and first floors and the entire roof of the middle terraced house, which was converted into an apartment, are on fire. Part of the ground floor of a neighboring property is also on fire.”
