Rani Mukerji on Deepika Padukone’s 8-hour shift demand, recalls shooting for Hichki when daughter Adira was 14-months old: ‘If the producer is…’

In the midst of Deepika Padukone’s demand for eight hours of working shifts, Rani Mukji focused on the debate reflected in his balancing work and his journey of motherhood. He explained how his program was carefully designed around the needs of his daughter. “The traffic takes about two hours from my house in the suburbs in Juhu. So after expressing my milk in the morning, I did something to leave at 6:30. My first shot was formerly 8: 1:30-1.
Stressed that flexible hours are always based on mutual understanding. “These are ready to talk today because maybe people are discussing outside. But this was a norm with all the professions. At the same time I did it where I worked for certain hours. If the producer is good, if you continue with the film. If it’s not good with the film, it’s not a choice. Nobody pushes anything to anyone,” he said.
Rani Mukji was recently honored with the Best Actress Award for his performance at Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway at the 71st National Film Awards. The 2023 film is based on Sagarika Chakraborty’s real -life case, whose children were shot by the Norway government in 2011. Rani plays Debika, a mother who fights the foreign legal system to bring her children back.
