Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seen separately in New York after her solo Paris trip and couple’s awkward red carpet appearance

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out separately in New York after a series of awkward moments on the red carpet where they were crowned ‘Humanitarians of the Year’.
The Duke of Sussex wore a suit as he got into the car to enjoy a cozy autumn evening in Manhattan on Saturday. Meghan was wearing sunglasses and a scarf along with a long coat as she got out of her vehicle.
Harry and Meghan went their separate ways one day after having lunch with tennis legend Serena Williams at New York’s Soho House. Meghan and Serena first met at a Super Bowl party in 2010.
The tennis player later said: “Meghan is an amazing person and I think she’s the epitome of strength, the example of confidence, the example of selflessness and the example of everything just herself and everything she’s been through.”
The Duke of Sussex and his wife were in town to attend the Healthy Minds Project gala, where they were honored.
On the red carpet on Thursday night, Harry appeared to be in a hurry as he held Meghan’s hand and posed for photographers before starting to walk away – but the Duchess of Sussex appeared to linger.
Royal watchers even claimed the Duke of Sussex may have gently whispered ‘come on now’ to Meghan when she paused.
The prince wore a suit as he got into the car to enjoy a cozy fall evening in Manhattan on Saturday.
Meghan wore more casually sporty glasses and wide-legged navy trousers, paired with a striped blouse and an oversized brown coat.

In another video shot backstage at the premiere, the Duke of Sussex is caught by a member of the team asking him a question.
Meghan was awkwardly left standing alone, waiting for her to arrive, with some critics claiming she ‘stared’ briefly before smiling.
But another wrote: ‘She looks like she’s making a real effort to appear dignified so as not to overshadow her along the red carpet.’
Meghan received the award and was also praised as a ‘mother, wife, entrepreneur and philanthropist’ while accepting the award. Harry’s work with mental health companies and his controversial 2021 memoir Spare were among his achievements.
The Healthy Minds Project’s ‘Humanitarian of the Year’ award has only been won once before, last year. Jeff Yabuki and his wife, Gail, received the gong for their dedication to mental health work after Jeff’s brother committed suicide in 2017.
Phillip Schermer, CEO and founder of Project Healthy Minds, told the audience that the Sussexes’ ‘leadership and generosity… have made a profound difference in the lives of so many people.’
The Duchess of Sussex also gave a sideways smile during the couple’s tactile display

Their appearance in New York comes just after King Charles and Prince William put up a united front in London.
The Duchess of Sussex used her acceptance speech to voice her fears about Archie and Lilibet growing up in the digital age – just hours after the Princess of Wales visited a children’s charity and warned that excessive screen time could harm family life.
The competing events, 3,500 miles apart, could spell trouble and throw cold water on hopes for peace talks between the warring Windsors.
The Daily Mail revealed that a friend of the Sussex couple predicted “Meghan will return to the UK before the end of the year” and might bring a “modest cake”.
It seems the couple are planning to make peace with the royal family through a secret plot called ‘Project Dissolution’. There were even claims that William could meet Harry, but he was not willing to do so when Meghan was present.
This morning, a video also emerged showing the future king bursting into tears. William could not hide his pain as he discussed the devastating impact of suicide with a mother whose husband committed suicide just five days after the death of her one-year-old son.
The King and his eldest son met at the Natural History Museum in London last night for a rare public appearance brought together by their shared passion for the environment. A video showed them greeting each other warmly, with William placing a warm hand on Charles’ shoulder.
