Wolves manager: Rob Edwards and Gary O’Neil among contenders

Rob Edwards and Gary O’Neil are two of the names set to replace Vitor Pereira as Wolves manager.
Pereira was sacked on Sunday after the team started the Premier League season without a win in 10 matches.
Edwards and O’Neil, who both have historical ties to the club, are among the names to be considered for ownership by Wolves.
The fact Edwards is currently at Middlesbrough will pose a potential obstacle to his appointment at Molineux.
But the former Luton head coach, who made more than 100 appearances for Wolves during his football career, is said to be a strong candidate for the vacant position.
The 42-year-old football player is said to have received support from the Wolves board as they begin the process of appointing a new coach.
O’Neil also emerges as a surprise candidate, but it would be a shocking appointment given he was sacked by Wolves in December last year.
The former West Ham midfielder’s unemployment means Wolves will not need to pay any compensation.
