Princess Kate given new 3-word nickname after taking on major role | Royal | News

The Princess of Wales was given a three-word nickname after her big show at a major royal event last week. Princess Catherine led the nation in a moving two-minute silence in memory of those who died on Armistice Day.
The future Queen stood silent, still and deep in thought with veterans to honor the war dead at the Armed Forces Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, before laying a wreath in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Wearing a military-style black jacket, a wide-brimmed black hat with a bow, and two poppies, the princess attended the ceremony for the first time.
Now, Catherine’s solo appearance has cemented her senior presence at the Firm, according to royal commentator Jennie Bond, who described her as “an absolutely key figure” in the future of the monarchy.
He told the Mirror: “I’m sure the King would be delighted every time Catherine steps up to carry out high-profile assignments.
“He must recognize that she is an absolutely important figure in the future of the monarchy and, like William, he is proud of how fully she has embraced her role.”
Ms Bond added that Catherine was “the very picture of a modern future Queen fulfilling one of the most solemn duties in the royal calendar” and that she demonstrated her “commitment to Remembrance events by taking on a prominent role at the Albert Hall memorial service, the Cenotaph ceremony and subsequently at the Arboretum”.
On Tuesday, after the ceremony, the princess was presented with a bunch of flowers as she met students from Newport Girls’ High School and then took time to chat with D-Day veterans Alan Kennett and Geoffrey Spencer and VE and VJ Day veterans Donald (Bill) Redston.
Speaking to Mr Spencer, who served with RAF Bomber Command and repaired and flew Lancaster Bombers, the royal asked him what it was like to fly and made a confession about the second in line to the throne.
The Princess of Wales said George loved building AirFix models and was a “big fan” of the Lancaster Bomber models.
He said: “George loves building AirFix models. He’s a big fan of the Lancaster Bomber so he knows more about planes than I do.”
The Princess said the arboretum was a “special place” and that she enjoyed hearing about the personal experiences of veterans like Mr. Redston.
Before leaving the Arboretum, Catherine stopped to greet the crowd waiting to see her outside and appeared to joke about having to hold her hat in the wind as they shook hands and chatted.
