While farmers and fishermen have begun to return to normal after the devastation left behind by Cyclone Montha, there is a possibility of another cyclone forming over the Bay of Bengal next week. This time, the cyclone is expected to move towards the Andhra Pradesh coast.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure area is likely to form over the southeastern Bay of Bengal around November 22 and is very likely to move west-northwestward and turn into a depression over the central parts of the South Bay of Bengal on November 24 and continue to move west northwest and intensify into a cyclone over the southwestern Bay of Bengal around November 26. It is likely to move towards the Andhra Pradesh coast.

Under the influence of the weather system, Rayalaseema and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh may experience moderate rain from 26 to 29 November, with occasional heavy rain on 26 November. Heavy and very heavy rains are expected in isolated places in these two regions on 27 and 28 November. Moderate rains may continue until November 30.

Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has issued an alert and asked farmers to harvest crops immediately.

Meanwhile, there may also be an increase in minimum temperatures in the state, which has recently experienced a decrease in temperatures. Officials said that there will be no increase in all parts of the state, but it may be affected by the upcoming system in the Bay of Bengal.
