Travel ban in effect for Ohio Turnpike: details
(WJW) — Ahead of forecast high winds, rain and snow, the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission has issued a travel ban for the toll road. Ohio Turnpike.

The ban is aimed at high-profile vehicles — Anything taller than 7 feet, 6 inches — and is valid from 8 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, to 23:59 on Thursday, November 27.

The following types of vehicles are prohibited during the restriction:

All high profile trailers, caravans, boats and enclosed trailers. (Fifth wheel trailers excluded.)

Commercial trucks pulling an empty 53-foot trailer

All mobile homes, office trailers and livestock trailers
-
All long combination vehicles (LCVs), which include long double trailer combinations exceeding 90 feet in length. (Enclosed trailers only, including Conestoga type trailers); And
-
All LCV triple trailer combinations
-
2-axle buses longer than forty (40) feet
-
Buses with 3 or more axles greater than forty-five (45) feet
A. LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING Lake effect is in effect from 1 a.m. Thursday through 7 p.m. Friday in Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula and Geauga counties due to accumulation of snow bands. And, one WIND CONSULTANCY It is issued for most of the region starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday and continuing until 4 a.m. Thursday.
FOX 8 Meteorologists expect wind gusts of 40-50 MPH Wednesday through Thursday.
