We’re adding to a stock with future promise whose recent slide has stabilized
We purchase 45 shares of Boeing at approximately $188 each. After Monday’s trading, Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust will own 535 shares of BA, increasing its weighting from 2.44% to approximately 2.65%. We’re chewing on Boeing stock and averaging out our cost base. This is our first Boeing purchase since the first week of November, when the stock fell 10% in a matter of days to around $200 following a disappointing third-quarter earnings report that included a higher-than-expected charge on the 777x program. The stock has continued its decline over the past few weeks, falling below $180 per share. We didn’t continue adding to this position from $200 onwards as the stock was trading like a falling knife and we wanted to see its stability before putting more money into it. BA mountain 2025-11-01 Boeing Since November 1 Last week, Boeing finally showed signs of stability. Shares that fell Monday were coming off a three-session 5.5% gain streak. Boeing has been a major disappointment since its addition to the portfolio, but we still think better days are ahead as the planemaker ramps up monthly production and deliveries of its 737 Max jets, leading to a significant increase in free cash flow over the next few years.
